This is a global experiment: a place to tell the world what you think about America and also read what other people think. What do you love about America? What do you hate about America? (Or maybe it's a love/hate thing for you?)

Our dependency on oil has created economic security issues for us, and national security issues for us. And therefore, this country must use our brain power and entrepreneurial spirit to diversify away from the hydrocarbon economy. [25 April 2006]

Honestly I don't think the United States can take another four to eight years of someone like John McCain. America right now in my opinion is like a wet towel being squeezed so hard by our politicians that will one day be as dry as a bone. General David Petraues has admitted on live national television that last year, (2007) that Iraq was on the verge of a civil war. And yet President Bush to this very day has adamantly denied that such unrest exists in Iraq. It's uncanny how a military commander can have such differing and contradictory views from his boss, the Commander in Chief and President when one would think that they would be a team and put up a united front. Iraq is a quagmire and an utter disgrace and that is because the Pentagon never had a plan after the invasion in 2003. What is worse is that the entire American public was lied to and made to believe that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction. Something which Iraq never did possess and which the United Nations Weapons Inspectors proved over and over again without a shred of doubt. It boggles my mind to this day how 43,000,000 million Americans can be so stupid and blinded to vote for a President in 2004 who negligently has the interest of filling the pockets of his Texan and Saudi oil friends with a lot of money and not the interests of the American people at heart. And then President Bush had the audacity to try and correlate the war in Iraq with the War on Terror in neighboring Afghanistan whiich are two completely different things. Whitewashing the facts and brainswashing the people. That seems to be the trend in American politics anymore. Someone has got to stand up for what is right and denounce what is wrong. Someone has to be held accountable for the needless killing of the 4,000 men and woman who have died in vain for an immoral and illegal war that was never given a United Nations mandate to begin with. I yearn for the days when our American republic can rid the corruption and abuse of power of those in Washington. I am waiting for the day when these United States of America can focus on upholding the Constitution written by our Founding Fathers and defend the rule of law once again. We are in deep and dire trouble. And if there is not a direction of change soon, then I sincerely fear that our united nation could entirely become a divided nation.
