I just read this comment by Peter in Australia:
"The United States Constitution needs to be changed. The fact that George W. Bush is still the President of the United States when the Democrats have control of both houses after the recent mid-term elections is ridiculous."
And my question is, Peter, do you have any idea how the American government works? First of all, your comment sounds a little funny, because it's not like the Congress just can kick him out of office or something! What does having a Democratic Congress have to do with the fact that Bush is still President? Actually, the fact that there is a Republican President and a Democratic Congress is the BEAUTY of American politics. Congress and the President have an equal amount of power, and they balance each other's agendas out. It's called checks and balances, and the shared power is great, because it keeps one party/person/organization from having too much control/influence/power.
