Hate America? I don't hate America. I regret it! I regret that Columbus ever discovered it!

Personally I feel very disappointed with the US. In the Eighties I remember going quite often to NY. The city was at the avant garde of music, modern art and fashion. It was the world center of it, like renaissance Florence or Venice, a real inspiration.

Now I can't believe that you have elected twice such an ignorant and incompetent president. I can't understand (and much of the rest of the world) how all your journalists, TV stations, news papers, artists, politicians,..., supposedly the best in the world, could participate in this great swindle about Iraq, WMDs and democracy in the Middle East...

More, it's mind boggling to see all the mistakes made conducting the war in Iraq (it is as if FEMA or general Custer is running the occupation forces), the wasted lifes, the wasted trillions of dollars, the wasted credibility of yours for nothing.

I can't believe Osama is still on the run after 6 years and Americans seems to acept it. As a French citizen, I am abashed how easily the American public has dived into frantic French bashing just because we warned you about the truth. (I pinpoint the fact that most French do not know the extent and lowliness of the insults they are still the target of, and there is no equivalence here. You could be tried for inciting hate here if you did the same)

I admire your patience to keep in office a president who has proven itself a liar, an unconscious hot head, an arrogant international bully and has failed in all his undertakings. Remembering all the problems Clinton had because of a small private affair it defies understanding how Bush, having lied so much and led you in such a disaster is not facing yet the Supreme Court. The truth is the image and credibility of the US has deteriorated so badly the world over that it will take a generation to mend. Your mighty world power has met its limit, the reason is simple: the failure to elect a competent leader.
