I love America most of time. I love the society you build, based on strong institutions, strong law, on freedom and self initiative. I'm a liberal and I believe in the American dream. I think that any country in the world in a war situation can end up doing something like abu-grahib. But only a few have institutions strong enough to stop that, and say no to the president when he wants to break civil rights in the name of some war. Some people say that Americans are not friendly with people from other countries. My personal experience tells the opposite. I’m a Latin American, and I made many American friends when I was there. People were friendly and receptive to me. Of course America has many problems, but all countries do. But I know most of the Americans care about their problems, and that's the first step to solve them. Just for comparison purposes, French people think that is so cool to make Paris visitors feel unwelcome, so, that’s not likely to change soon.
